How much does custom software cost in Malaysia?
Malaysian software houses typically charge RM15,000–RM50,000 for a simple tool or first version that takes 1–2 months, and RM50,000–RM150,000 for a mid-range business app covering orders, stock and invoicing, according to a 2026 cost guide. Transfomind builds a first version from RM6,000, or sets up a ready industry system from RM3,500 plus a monthly plan from RM199.
Why is your price lower than a software house?
We start from systems that already work, like our tuition, car rental, renovation and wholesale systems, and build the essentials first. Each later phase is quoted separately, so you only pay for what proves useful.
How long does it take?
A custom first version is usually live in 6–10 weeks, built in phases. An industry starter is quicker, because it starts from a system that already works.
Should I use ready-made software instead?
Often, yes. If an app for your industry fits how you work, it's cheaper to start with, at about RM20–RM150 a month. A custom or industry system makes sense when your rules, pricing or workflow need workarounds, or when per-user or per-student fees keep growing. Can it connect to WhatsApp and my accounting software?
Yes. Systems send WhatsApp and email confirmations and reminders, take payments by DuitNow QR or FPX, and can link to accounting software such as AutoCount, SQL Account, Bukku or Xero.
What happens after launch?
You get training and 30 days of fixes. After that, System support from RM399 a month covers hosting, backups, security updates, an AI usage allowance and support hours. New features are added as new phases with their own quotation.
Who owns the data?
You do. You can export your customers, orders, bookings and payment records at any time.
Can I see a system before deciding?
Yes. Our live demos run fictional businesses with sample data, so you can click through the office side, the staff apps and the customer website before you decide.
